Objective Netherlands is a project initiated by Reinjan Mulder in 1974 whose aim was to show the authentic, "objective" Netherlands. By applying a square grid over a map of the country, he defined 52 locations. In each location he would take four photographs—north, east, south and west—resulting in a catalogue of 208 images representing the Dutch landscape. In 2017, the project was repeated by Cleo Wächter, as she followed in the footsteps of Mulder. The outcome is a cross-section of the Netherlands and a temporal comparison.
I designed a website functioning as a digital archive for the project.
Development by Sepus Noordmans and concept development in collaboration with Cleo Wächter.
